world cup human rights campaign

LA vs Hate and LA County’s Human Relations Commission (HRC) have partnered with the Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee and 211LA to launch a Human Rights Campaign that promotes and expands reporting, resources, and outreach to support residents, workers, visitors, and vulnerable communities during the World Cup.

With expectations for a large increase in tourism and economic activity across LA County, this partnership will help ensure that everyone across LA County has access to support services related to human rights-related concerns, including hate incidents, discrimination, workers’ rights violations, immigrants’ rights concerns, and human trafficking. This initiative’s goal is to help build awareness of civil and human rights protections for all, while creating access to support and resources before, during, and immediately following the tournament.

211 LA will serve as a multilingual, 24/7 confidential reporting and referral resource for residents, workers, visitors, and community members seeking support related to all human rights concerns.

This summer, we are committed to celebrating our diverse cultures and traditions and spreading the message of unity — despite what team you’re rooting for. Individuals can access services by dialing 2-1-1 or visiting www.211la.org/humanrights
