LA vs Hate Teams Up with LAFC Players David Martínez and Nkosi Tafari to Promote Unity Ahead of the World Cup

LA vs Hate PSA with David Martínez

As Los Angeles prepares to welcome fans from around the world for major international soccer events, LA vs Hate is launching two new public service announcements featuring LAFC players David Martínez and Nkosi Tafari.

Soccer has a unique ability to bring people together across cultures, languages, and backgrounds. The new PSAs build on that spirit, encouraging fans to celebrate diversity, show respect for one another, and help create welcoming communities throughout Los Angeles County.

Featuring two of LAFC's standout players, the PSAs remind fans that while we may support different teams and come from different places, we all share a responsibility to foster respect, inclusion, and belonging—on and off the field.

The PSAs are part of LA vs Hate's broader campaign to promote inclusion and combat hate ahead of the World Cup and other major international sporting events. Additional campaign efforts will include billboards, public signage, and community outreach across the region.

As one of the world's most diverse regions and a global destination for soccer fans, Los Angeles has an opportunity to demonstrate what makes our communities strong: respect for one another, celebration of our differences, and a shared commitment to belonging.

Whether you're cheering from the stands, watching at a local gathering, or welcoming visitors to your neighborhood, everyone has a role to play in making Los Angeles a place where all people feel welcome.

Watch the PSAs and learn more about how to report and respond to hate at LAvsHate.org.
